what would make me happy

If only I could make it through all of the suggested reading in The Note (http://abcnews.go.com/sections/politics/TheNote/TheNote.html) in a day, that would be lovely (and hello, I’m at work, where my daily reminder that The Note is ready arrives each morning in my mailbox). I suppose I actually could, if I could get past my idea that newspapers are only for reading before 5 p.m. I really seem to have an evening ban on newspapers — and on news in general. If I’m home during the day, I watch CNN – but the minute 5 rolls around, it’s on to a steady diet of TNT, NBC, and Comedy Central. Oh, I’ve also been watching a bit of “SpikeTV,” which I put in quotes because I somehow feel ridiculous using that name. It used to be TBS, I think.

::rolling eyes:: Before “SpikeTV,” it was “The New TNN,” and obviously just TNN before that. I watch that channel once or twice a day — for 7 Days and, if they’re airing a Methos episode, for Highlander — and am almost religiously watching (from tape) an hour of TNT programming per weekday, thanks to their Angel syndication. I think, as of yesterday, they’ve finally reached the episodes I’ve already seen of Angel, so we’ll see how much longer I keep watching daily before trying to wean myself back off it.

I think I’m nearly at the point that I’ve seen every Law & Order episode they air on TNT – and there are 300 (!!) episodes, so this is really, really sad. Still, I keep watching.
