Woo-hoo, and I completed the TherapyWorks Pumpkin Pursuit 5K Jog/Walk this morning. That’s right, I got up EARLY and I RAN (a little) in the cold. I am like a god. And so is Star.
Now I’m eating scrambled eggs. I always think, it’s too bad I don’t watch the Sunday morning shows, so I tried to watch “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” (probably a bad place to start — there are hard feelings between George and I) but I couldn’t make it more than a few minutes. I apparently don’t have the stomach for politics right now — at least on TV. It’s funny, I don’t mind reading about the presidential campaign, but every time it comes on the news, I change the channel. If John Kerry wakes up every morning as nervous about November as I do (and, yes, I realize it’s probably worse for him), well, I admire his courage.
In keeping with that, I think I’m going to a local screening of “Going Upriver: The Long War of John Kerry” on Thursday night. It’s free — moveon.org is passing out DVDs of the movie to those who pledge to hold a screening. So, yay. I saw the director interviewed by Charlie Rose, and I’m really looking forward to it.
