New name, same great taste

I finally decided to use my rename token, which I bought last year sometime (fall? summer?). This means no real changes for anyone reading this via the LiveJournal friends list — everything old will be redirected, and all of the friends trade over happily and easily. If you feel a need to reference me or link to me, you might use the new name — — instead of the old, to speed things along.

So, sayonara, inthismoment. I was never perfectly happy with that name, which was stolen from song lyrics. I wanted a more prosaic name, or perhaps a more clever name, from the start. But it was 3 a.m. or so when I decided to create this LJ (which was originally only for the purpose of tracking my progress through my first go-round with NaNoWriMo in 2002), and I’d been listening to A LOT of Incubus, and… these things happen.

I still feel a tiny speck of fear in directly connecting my own, real name with my online journal. It’s been at least a year since I’ve connected it to my Web site, though, and though it has led to a couple of people reading it that I wouldn’t have predicted, so far it’s not been bad at all. So… now everything’s neatly tied up and the same, and all changes are final.
