It’s like Zombieland, only there’s no Woody Harrelson. Continuing his quest to be The Undead, Rudy Giuliani kicked off a press conference about how he’s less politically relevant than ever before (not running for NY Senate in 2010) by endorsing someone who is actually running for something in the state which Giuliani was quick to point out he barely lives in these days:
Rudy Giuliani opened a news conference endorsing New York gubernatorial candidate Rick Lazio with an extended explanation of his decision not to run for U.S. Senate.
“The main reason has to do with my two enterprises: Bracewell & Giuliani and Giuliani Partners,” he said. “I’m very busy in both.”
After a “reform occasioned by some of the diminishment of business” during his presidential run, the security consulting firm is growing fast, he said at the Manhattan news conference.
“It would be hard running from Brazil,” he said, referring to his contract with the country’s Olympic Committee.
I’m looking forward to the scene in the amusement park.
